Explanation: This is a private bill by Rotman, after he also pushed for a similar bill in the Constitution Committee.

What this means: According to the bill, 61 Knesset Members are enough to pass a law that will be immune to judicial review, if it says it is “valid despite the provisions of the Basic Laws”.

The current situation: There is an override clause requiring a majority of 61 Knesset Members, that applies only to laws  contradicting the Basic Law: Freedom of Occupation.
